During his lifetime our bass singer, Piet Mennen, who passed away in February 2006, collected a large number of midi files which may be of help to choir members. To preserve this wonderful collection we have decided to incorporate it in our choir’s website.
Feel free to use any of them in studying your score.

Since the foundation of our choir in 1992 Piet was a member of our group. He was a very dedicated and enthusiastic singer, who lived for music, who was the embodiment of music. He could not help showing how he enjoyed listening to and singing the a capella choir music that he was so fond of.
He was a great admirer of the famous King Singers and regularly attended their concerts. His frequent contact (also through e-mail) with the King Singers inspired one of their members, Robin Tyson, on hearing of Piet’s untimely death, to the following words: "We all remember meeting Piet after our concerts, and it will be a shame not to see his twinkling eyes any more."
His eyes mirrored his heart which he had given to choir music. He will always be in our hearts, especially whenever we perform John Tavener’s Funeral Ikos, and we will remember him with the “words of the song”:
"But whither I go, that understand I not,
neither what shall become of me yonder.
Only God who hath summoned me knoweth.
But make commemoration of me with this song..."
